Lillian B. Tessier 103, formerly of Cato St. passed away peacefully Tuesday at the Friendly Home, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Jean-Marc Tessier. Mrs. Tessier was born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Louis and Cordelia (Henault) Archambault. Mrs. Tessier was a spooler for the former Woonsocket Spinning Mills for 45 years before retiring in 1961. She was a member of Les Dames de St. Ann and the St. Ann’s Ladies Guild. Mrs. Tessier was also an avid card player. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Mrs. Tessier is survived two sons; Robert Tessier of Enfield NH, and Normand Tessier of Sebastian FL, two daughters; Yvette Dauphinais of Woonsocket, and Jeanne Theroux of Woonsocket, thirteen grandchildren, and twenty great grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Gaston, Gedeon, Gerald, and Robert Archambault, Cecile Sutherland and Juliette Parenteau.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
