Thayer of West Bridgewater February 27, 2007, Mary Joan (Riordan) Thayer, 64 years. Devoted wife for 39 years of Walter L. Thayer. Loving mother of John A. Ritucci and his wife Lynne of Holliston and Mark D. Ritucci and his wife Terrie of Middleboro. Beloved grandmother of Jean, Jessi, Leigh, Kerry, Daniel and James Ritucci. Sister of Patricia O’Brien of Brockton, Kevin Riordan of Raynham and Joseph Riordan of Dennis.

Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Saturday at 9:30 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater at 10:30 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, W. Bridgewater. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm

Obituary

Mary J. Thayer, 64 years died Tuesday evening at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. She was born in Brockton, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Dorothy (Caplice) Riordan. She was raised and educated in Brockton a graduate of Brockton High School. For the past 40 years she had been a resident of West Bridgewater. At the time of her illness she was the owner with her husband of the Hockomock Liquors, Inc. in West Bridgewater. Previously she owned the Movie Stop Video Store in West Bridgewater and also had been a supervisor at the New England Telephone Company on Crescent Street in Brockton. She enjoyed reading, cooking and gardening. She was also a huge fan of NASCAR racing and was a long time communicant of St. Ann Church in West Bridgewater.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Walter L. Thayer, two sons, John A. Ritucci and his wife Lynne of Holliston and Mark D. Ritucci and his wife Terrie of Middleboro, 6 grandchildren. Jean, Jessi, Leigh, Kerry, Daniel and James Ritucci, one sister, Patricia O’Brien of Brockton and two brothers, Kevin Riordan of Raynham and Joseph Riordan of Dennis and several nieces and nephews.
