WORCESTER: Kathleen J. "Kay" O'Malley, 82, formerly of Goldthwaite Rd., died Thursday, February 22, 2007, in Autumn Village, after an illness.
She leaves two sisters, Mary J. Johnson of Worcester, Ann M. O'Malley of Worcester; two brothers, Anthony C. O'Malley and his wife Mary of Boylston, Richard P. O'Malley and his wife Janet of Worcester; three nieces, Alice Hart of Arizona, Donna Warner of Worcester, Noreen Deschene of Webster; two nephews, Walter Johnson of Maine, Timothy O'Malley of Worcester; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. Her sister, Alice F. Jacobs of Paxton, predeceased her. She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Anthony C. and Kathleen J. (Brennan) O'Malley and was a graduate from Commerce High School.
Kay worked as a cashier at First National Supermarkets in the Worcester area for 42 years, until the company closed. She was a long time member of St. Joan of Arc Church.
CALLING HOURS will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, in KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, in ST. JOAN OF ARC CHURCH, 570 Lincoln St. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
The family suggests donations in memory of Kay be made to the St. Joan of Arc Parish Improvement Fund, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester, MA 01605.
