Obituary

Marblehead: June E. Kelley, age 81 of Coconut Creek, FL., and a former resident of Marblehead, died Thursday, February 15, 2007, at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers, following a brief illness. She was the wife of the late John Kelley and was also the wife of the late Joseph D. Healy.
Born and raised in Marblehead and proud of her Marblehead heritage, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Alice G. (Sweeney) Scott. Prior to her marriage to Mr. Healy in 1948, she was a telephone operator for New England Telephone Co. in Marblehead. She left work to raise her family and later pursued her avocation by working as a floral designer for Barter Brothers at the former Vinnin Square store. With the closing of the Swamscott store she worked in the same capacity for Stop & Shop also located in Vinnin Square. Widowed in 1975 she later married Mr. Kelley, and the couple moved to Florida in 1980 and continued to summer in Marblehead.
In addition to her love of flowers, June was an artist who loved the sun and the ocean. She love golf, swimming and was a devoted fan of the Notre Dame football team. She was member of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Marblehead.
June is survived by 3 sons: Alan S. Healy and his wife Christine. Richard J. Healy and his wife Robyn, Laurence D. Healy and his wife Martha all of Marblehead, 2 step-children: Jack Kelley and Sharon Corcoran, a brother David Scott and a sister Gloria Taylor both of Marblehead, 8 grandchildren: Ryan, Maeve, Andrew, Curtis, Joseph & Alison Healy, Gregory and Alicia Silveira. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to her funeral mass on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Ave., Marblehead at 10 am. There will be no visiting hours. Burial will be private and at a later date. For guest book please visit www.levesquefunerals.com.
