Obituary

Mr. Sammie C. Adams was born on September 12, 1935 to the late George Adams Sr. and Mattie Moore Adams. He departed this life on Thursday, October 5, 2006 in Detroit, Michigan.

He graduated from Trinity High School in Athens, Alabama. Upon graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army, where he served faithfully until retirement. He made his home in Detroit, Michigan, where he started his own lawn service and worked faithfully until two months ago.

Mr. Adams accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and renewed his faith with Christ in his final hours. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Mrs. Corine Scott and Mrs. Earlene Moore; seven brothers: Roosevelt Adams, Henry Adams, Ted Adams, Alan Adams, George Adams Jr., James Clifton Adams, and J.P. Adams.

Mr. Adams expressed the love for his Savior and his family before his death. He leaves to cherish his memories three children: Paulett Adams of Thomasville, Georgia; Cynthia Adams of Riverside, California and Clinton Adams of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; four sisters: Mattie Adams of Huntsville, Alabama, Bessie Binford of Harvest, Alabama, Lee Gusta Thomas (John) of Huntsville, Alabama and Igusta Ingram of El Paso, Texas; two brothers: Joseph Adams (Mary) and Walter Adams (Judy), both of Baltimore, Maryland; five grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
