Worcester- Minnie R. (Batutis) Kacavich, 86, of 101 Randolph Road, formerly of 425 Pleasant Street, died Wendesday, Oct. 23, in UMass-Memorial Medical Center, Memorial Campus, after an illness.
Her husband of 52 years, John P. Kacavich, died in 1983. She leaves three daughters, Ruth B. Hultquist of Worcester, Carole J. Barca of Westerly, Rhode Island, and Diane L. Regan of Fitchburg; a brother, John Batutis of Athol; two sisters, Sally Gotautas of Worcester, and Mary White of Athol; 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; nephews and nieces. She was born in Erving, daughter of Frank and Domicele (Balcius) Batutis and lived here most of her life.
Mrs. Kacavich was a housekeeper at Worcester Academy, retiring in 1965.
She was a member of St. Casimir's Catholic Parish.
She enjoyed playing cards.
The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 28, from Henry-Dirsa Funeral Home, 33 Ward Street, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church, 41 Providence Street. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
