Obituary

Lillian A. (Dauplaise) Keighley, 79, of New Bedford, formerly of Fairhaven, died Tuesday October 22, 2002 at home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Vincent J. Keighley.

Born and raised in New Bedford, she moved to Fairhaven in 1952 where she lived for many years before returning to live in New Bedford 2 years ago. She was a 1941 graduate of Holy Family High School and a 1943 graduate of New Bedford Textile Institute.

She was a communicant of St. Lawrence Church.

Mrs. Keighley was formerly employed as a bank teller at the New Bedford Institution for Savings and the Wareham National Bank until her retirement in 1977.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Kathleen Keighley of Middletown, RI; Carole Andre and her husband Douglas, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Rosemary Keighley of Weymouth; 3 sons, Mark Keighley and his wife Nancy Gentile-Keighley, of Mattapoisett, Kevin Keighley of Dartmouth, and David Keighley and his wife Doris Guerette, of Fairhaven; a brother, Edward Dauplaise of Washington State; 3 grandchildren, Martha Magee, William Andre and Ryan Keighley; and her caregiver, Vidalia "Vickie" DeSousa and family of New Bedford.

She was the sister of the late Charles Dauplaise, Arthur Dauplaise, and Jacqueline Dutra.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Lawrence Church, Saturday, October 26th at 9 AM, followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Community Nurse Association, P.O. Box 751, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
