WEST BOYLSTON

Arthur T. “Tottie” Nichols, Sr. 80, died Thurs., Feb. 15, in Saint Vincent Hospital.

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Jeannette M. (Smith) Nichols; three children, Marion E. Hardwick of Manhattan, KS, Arthur T. Nichols, Jr. of Ocala, FL and Bruce A. Nichols of West Boylston; five grandchildren, Eric, Amy, Becki, Adam and Ryan; two great-grandchildren, Darbi and Ember and nieces and nephews. Two brothers, James and Donald and two sisters, Leda Caissey and Margaret Doss predeceased him. He was born in Clinton, son of Arthur and Yvonne (Gaudreau) Nichols.

Arthur retired from ITT Wire and Cable. He served his community for many years as a school bus driver. He volunteered as a firefighter for several years and served as an usher at Oakdale United Methodist Church. Arthur was an avid bowler, enjoyed quiet times with family, and helping others whenever he could.

The Funeral Service will be held Tues., Feb. 20, at 11 AM in Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 No. Main St. Burial will be in the spring in High Plains Cemetery. Visiting Hours are Mon., Feb. 19, from 5 to 8 PM at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 No. Main St. or to the West Boylston Fire and Ambulance Fund, 39 Worcester St. both West Boylston, 01583.
