Jackson, NJ- Gilbert F. Rainsford Jr., 58 of Jackson, NJ formerly of Worcester, died October 12, 2002 in Central State Medical Center, in Freehold, Township, and NJ after an illness.
He is survived by his wife, Augusta (Gelardi) Rainsford, his parents, Gilbert and Barbara (Posson) Rainsford, of Auburn; and a sister Noreen Hass, of Leicester, MA
Mr. Rainsford was born in Worcester and attended Auburn Schools. He later graduated from Worcester Jr. College, and Fordham University.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, he served in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Rainsford worked as the Management Information Systems/IT Director for GHI Insurance Co. He previously worked for Dean Witter, and Equitable Insurance Companies.
He was an avid fisherman.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM Saturday October 26, 2002 in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, (brittonfuneralhomes.com) 91 Central Street. Burial took place in NJ There are no calling hours.
