Hamden - Paul E. Martel, 88, of 414 Chestnut St. Springfield, formerly of Worcester died Tuesday October 22 in Mary Lyon Nursing Home after an illness.
His wife Alma B. (Levesque) Martel died in 1997. He leaves one son Donald R. Martel of Springfield; one grandchild. Mr. Martel was born in St. Hyacinthe, PQ, Canada son of Cesaire and Alphonsine (Bergevin) Martel.
Mr. Martel worked as a machinist for 19 years at the Springfield Armory retiring in 1965.
The Funeral will be held on Friday October 25 with a mass at 10 AM in Holy Name of Jesus Church 53 Illinois St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
