Theodora (Wiers) Volkers, 79 of Medway died February 8 in the Bourne Manor. She was the wife of Robert Volkers who died in 2003.
Born in Amsterdam Netherlands on October 18,1927 the daughter of the late Jan Franciscus and Cornelia (Trock) Wiers, Mrs. Volkers had lived in Medway for the past 42 years.
A homemaker, Mrs. Volkers was a member of the Medway Senior Citizens Club and enjoyed bird watching and dogs.
She is survived by her son Jeff Volkers of Goshen, New Hampshire and her daughter Kate Johnson and her husband Richard of Plymouth.
She is also survived by her sister Catharina “Beppie” Wiers of the Netherlands and her grandchildren Andrea, Caryn, Hope and Jeffrey.
Her funeral will be held on Monday February 12 from the Ginley-Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway at 9:00 followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church in Holliston at 10:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Holliston.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4-6 p.m.
