FALL RIVER - Arthur Almeida Sr, 91, of 4901 No. Main St.,formerly of Milliken Blvd., Fall River, died Wednesday at Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center. He was the husband of the late Alice (Wilson) Almeida. He is survived by Two Sons: Kenneth Almeida of Somerset, MA and Arthur Almeida, Jr. of Croton on Hudson, NY; Three Grandchildren and Several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Everett and Dennis Almeida.
Born in Fall River, the son of the late Everett Almeida and the late Caroline (Pereira) Almeida. He was a life long resident of Fall River. Before retiring, he was a Cutter at the former Kerr Mill. He was a member of D.A.V. and I.L.G.W.U. He was a U.S.Army Veteran of WW II.
His PRIVATE funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Monday at 9:00 A.M. with Committal prayers in the Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum, Stafford Rd., Fall River, MA at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow. There are no calling hours.
