Obituary

Apreda, Philip, Jr. an electrician and baseball coach from Teaneck, died on Feb. 6th after a long battle with cancer. He was 44. His courage inspired many before he succumbed to mantle cell lymphoma with his family by his side. Phil, a graduate of Teaneck High School was considered a brilliant coach who conveyed his love of the game to hundreds of young players. His Titans teams played and won tournaments throughout the United States. He is survived by his wife, Theresa, his children, Philip, 19, Michael, 16, Anthony, 11 and Christina, 9. He is also survived by his parents, Filippo and Gloria Apreda. As a devoted friend and family man, he will be greatly missed by many. Funeral service Saturday, 9am from the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Rd., Teaneck. Then to St. Anastasias RC Church, Teaneck for a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday and Friday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
