Obituary

WORCESTER____Helen A. (Zokas) Valinski, 99, of Autumn Village, 25 Oriol Drive, died Tuesday January 30, in Autumn Village. Her husband, Andrew Henry Valinski died in 1940.

She leaves a son, Peter J. Valinski, Sr., and his wife Eileen of Worcester; a daughter, Helen F. Penny and her husband, David R. of Worcester; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Paul W.Valinski who was Peter’s twin and Andrew Valinski and also by her sister, Ursula Georges. She was born in Newark, New Jersey, a daughter of Anthony and Ursula (Auksiejus) Zokas and lived in Worcester since 1931.

Mrs. Valinski worked many years in the housekeeping dept. of State Mutual Life Assurance Co., and retired many years ago. She was a former member of St. Stephen Church. Helen was a hardworking and caring homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking.

The funeral will be held on Thursday February 1 with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Avene, Waltham, MA., 02451. DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton Street, is directing funeral arrangements.
