Eugene Taylor, 59, of Chula, died Friday, January 26, 2007, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 28, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. James Irion will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 27, 2007, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mr. Taylor was born on November 30, 1947 in Tift County and was the son of Clarence Taylor and Edgar Wilson Taylor, both deceased. He was an auto technician and of the Methodist faith. He served in the Vietnam War in the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Clara Lee Conger Taylor of Chula; four sons, Mike Taylor of Tallahassee, Florida, Tony Taylor of Tallahassee, Florida, Shawn Taylor of Jacksonville, Florida and Tim Stillwell of Fitzgerald; one brother, Edwin Taylor of Savannah; three sisters, Hanna Powell of Cordele, Omie Hutchinson of Tifton and Gail Gaither of Douglas; and eleven grandchildren.
