Obituary

William J. Trabucco Sr. of Malden passed away at his home on January 24, 2007 at the age of 87. He was born and raised in the city of Malden where he was a life long resident. William worked as a chef at the Mt. Vernon Restaurant in Somerville for over 40 years before his retirement. He was also a 50 year member of the American Legion Club in Malden and served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was awarded the WWII Victory Medal, American Theatre Medal, Minecraft Shoulder Insignia, Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Medal and the Philippine Liberation Medal. William is survived by his wife of 59 years Helen (Loretti) Trabucco of Malden, his son Richard C. Trabucco and his wife Gail of Malden and the late William J. Trabucco Jr. He was the dear brother of Edward Trabucco, John Trabucco and Peter Trabucco, the late Joseph, Rocco and Albert Trabucco and Ann Notorangeli. William was the cherished grandfather of William J. Trabucco of Dracut, Anthony F. Trabucco of South Yarmouth, Janay M. Trabucco of Groton and Richard and Daniel Trabucco of Malden. He was also the great-grandfather of 3 great-granddaughters. William is also survived by several nieces and nephews. The Funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday January 27th at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, 660 Washington Street, Revere at 10:00 am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Friday, January 26th from 4-8 pm. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
