Obituary

Juliette Pinky Andrade, 17, of New Bedford died December 3, 2001 at Children's Hospital after a brief illness, due to complications from Lupus.

She was the beloved daughter of Miriam "Pinky" (Vega) Doval and Julio Andrade, both of New Bedford.

Juliette was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for most of her life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Juliette attended New Bedford High School. Her dream in life was to become a dancer and a singer. She was a loving child who will be missed by all.

Survivors include her parents; 3 brothers, Jason DePina, Jerome DePina and Kyle Gonsalves, all of New Bedford; 4 sisters, Christina Doval, Erica Doval, Jeanette Andrade and Tara Gonsalves, all of New Bedford; her grandparents, Josephine Vega of New York, and Vincent and Jeanette Barboza of Rochester; her godparents, Laurie Pina of Marion and Albert "Bobby" Barboza of Atlanta, Georgia; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.She was the granddaughter of the late David Vega and John G. Andrade, II.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday December 7, 2001 at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9 AM in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday December 6, 2001 from 5-8 PM.
