Balbina (Pereira) Vieira, 91, died Wednesday, January 24 at the BayPointe Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Ernest Vieira. Born in Fall River, she was raised and educated there. Mrs. Vieira was a resident of Stoughton since 1952. She worked as a weaver for the Kendall Company in Stoughton for several years, retiring at age 57. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening and spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Daniel P. Vieira of Taunton and James T. Vieira of Stoughton. She was the sister of Gloria Aguiar and Manuel Perry both of Fall River. Mrs. Vieira is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 27 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:15 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-8 PM. Donations in Balbina’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton.
