Corey A. Costa, 29, of Dartmouth, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 22, 2007.
Born in New Bedford, the son of Antonio M.C. "Tony" and Susan T. (Pimentel) Costa, he lived in Dartmouth for most of his life.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Corey was employed in Inventory Control at the Stop & Shop Distribution Center in Freetown.
He served for five years in the U.S. Navy from 1999-2004. He was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, and attended Morgan State University and UMass-Amherst.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Jenna B. Costa of Dartmouth; a niece, Rhyan Pina; his grandmothers, Eugenia Pimentel and Eugenia Sylvia, both of New Bedford; six aunts, Marie Ramos, Carol Pimentel, Linda Pimentel, Patricia Pimentel-Galarza, Deolinda Morris and Maria Pacheco; two uncles, Joaquim Pimentel and John Dantas; and a great-aunt, Hilda Pimentel.
He was the grandson of the late Joaquim Pimentel and Manuel Sylvia.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 12 Noon in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
