Obituary

Agnes Belle Cooper Nolan, 90, of Tifton, died Sunday, January 21, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Jason Jones and Rev. Larry Layfield will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Christopher Parrott, Jamie Cater, Ferrell Roberts, Harris Jordan, Roy Cooper and Nip Cromer will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.

Ms. Nolan was born on February 13, 1916 in Tift County and was the daughter of Willie Harris Cooper and Clara Ann Hyder Cooper, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sharon Howard Nolan, who died in 1969; one son-in-law, Chuck Parrott; four brothers; and four sisters. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of New River Baptist Church. She was a member of the Golden Age Club and the N.I.C.E. Club. She had lived in Tift County all of her life.

Ms. Nolan is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry and Annette Nolan of Tallahassee, Florida and Willie Virgil Nolan of Atlanta; one daughter, Marie Parrott of Tifton; one brother, Walter Cooper of Tifton; and two grandsons, Christopher Parrott and Jeffrey Nolan.
