Obituary

Nicholas A. ‘Nick’ Carbone, of Medford died Saturday after a brief illness in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Medford, MA.

Mr. Carbone was born in Boston, lived in Medford for the past 25 years and formerly of Chelsea. He was the son of the late Maria (Cella) and Antonio Carbone. Nick was a Heavy Equipment Forman for the former MDC at the East Boston Pumping Station for 26 years and retired in 1981. He served as a Private with Company “A” of the 709th Military Police Battalion in the U.S. Army during WW II from 1942 to 1943. Nicholas was also a former usher at St. Francis church for 20 years.

Beloved husband of the late Lucy (Patierno) Carbone. Devoted father of Anthony Carbone and his wife Susan of Everett, Nicholas Carbone of Lawrence, Richard Carbone and Maryann Albertelli both of Medford. Loving grandfather of Nicole Albertelli, Christina Carbone, Nicholas Carbone and his wife Nicole, and Marci Carbone. Loving great grandfather of Daniel and Judelise. Brother of Alfred 'Sam' Carbone of Boston, the late Mary Laffarello, Jenny Valente, Filomena Longo, and Carmen Carbone.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

Visiting hours Monday 4 - 8.

Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
