FALL RIVER - Geraldine “Gerri” (Costa) Oliveira, age 60, of 2446 Highland Ave., formerly of 391 Lawton St., Somerset, died Saturday in Fall River at the Catholic Memorial Home. She was the wife of the late Joseph Oliveira Jr. She is survived by 1 Daughter: Laurie Laclé of Somerset and 2 Grandsons: Justin & Tristan Laclé of Somerset.
Born in Fall River, ther daughter of the late Ernest Costa and the late Evelyn (Soares) Costa. She had been a resident of Somerset for over 50 years, before residing in Fall River. Prior to retiring in March of 2002, she worked for 20 years as a Special Investigator for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the Bureau of Special Investigations. She was also a graduate of Johnson & Wales University, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. She was also a Parishioner of St. Thomas More Church in Somerset.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, 1521 No. Main St., Fall River, MA on Wednesday at 9:00 A.M., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, Somerset at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick Cemetery, Somerset. Calling Hours on Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
