Obituary

Conrada May Avery,86, of Mystic passed away January 17, 2007 at Pendleton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born May 15, 1920 in Montville, the daughter of Myrtle and George Stafford.

She was the beloved wife of Ellsworth Truman Avery who predeceased her in 2003. They were united in marriage on June 26, 1943 under a beautiful rose scented arbor.

She was loved by many including her daughter Karen Bebyn and her husband Stan, her granddaughters Holly Bebyn and Lucinda Perry, and her great-granddaughters Olivia, Katherine and Hannah. She is also survived by a sister Elizabeth Crumb of Pawcatuck and Donald Allen of Antrim, NH. She was predeceased by her brothers, Henry, Duane and Jimmy.

Conrada was an avid fisherwoman. She created beautiful quilts for her family. She will be missed for her baking talents, especially her cookies and pies. She had also travelled to all 50 states with her husband and took many photographs. She loved feeding birds, deer and other backyard wildlife. She made beautiful wedding cakes for her daughter and granddaughters. She was a member of Eastern Star chapter of Mystic. As well as a loving wife and mother, she was a caregiver and friend to many more.

Her family will greet relatives and friends at The Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, historic downtown Mystic on Thursday from 6-8pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted at Old Mystic United Methodist Church on Friday at 11am with Rev. Carol Johnson, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.
