Obituary

William A. Vittorini, 89, of Dedham, formerly of Readville, died January 16, 2007 at the Ellis Nursing Home in Norwood. He was the beloved husband of Amelia A. (Landry) Vittorini.

Mr. Vittorini was born Boston in 1917 and was the son of the late Oreste and Incoranata (Pagliaro) Vittorini. He lived in Readville for many years before relocating to Dedham where he has lived for over 40 years. A World War II, U.S. Army Veteran, he worked as a dispatcher for the New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad. He was a member of Jacob Jones VFW Post 2017, Dedham and the Readville Senior Citizens.

In addition to his wife, he was the devoted brother of Delia Bregoli of Readville and the late Arthur Vittorini, Orlando Vittorini, Henry Vittorini and Sylvia DiCampi. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Saturday at 8:00 AM with a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 9:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-8 PM. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Hyde Park.
