Obituary

WORCESTER___Ernest F. Morin, 72, of 55 Ingleside Ave., died Saturday October 12, 2002 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 47 years, Myrtice A. (Curll) Morin; two sons, Ernest F. Morin, II and William T. Morin both of Worcester; two daughters, Deborah A. Kempton and Theresa A. Wilmot both of Oxford; a sister, Jeanet Cunha of New Bedford; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandsons and nephews and nieces. A brother, William Jacques of New Bedford predeceased him. He was born and raised in New Bedford, his mother was the late Loretta Jacques. Mr. Morin lived in Worcester for all of his adult life.

Mr. Morin owned and operated Burns Spa on Lincoln St., for many years and later worked 20 years for Worcester Controls. He was then a maintenance worker for 12 years at the College of the Holy Cross and retired on Sept. 1, 2002.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and served as a Staff Sergeant with Company D 16th Infantry Regiment.

Mr. Morin was a member of Notre Dame - Saint Joseph Parish and enjoyed gardening, classical music and cooking.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday October 16, 2002 from Dirsa-Morin Funeral Home, 298 Grafton St.,with a Mass at 1:30 p.m. in St. Josephs Church, 35 Hamilton St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Tuesday October 15, 2002 from 5 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Korean War Veterans Memorial of Central Massachusetts, P.O.
