Newburyport, Ma. – Genevieve (Bogdan) Kus, 82, died Sunday January 14, 2007 at the Country Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.
Born April 25, 1924 in Lawrence, Ma. Mrs. Kus was educated in the Lawrence schools and graduated from Lawrence High school.
For many years she was an Assembler at Western Electric known today as Lucent Technologies in North Andover.
Genevieve was a member and past president of Methuen Post # 122 American Legion, and Arnold Greenwood post # 8349 (VFW) in Methuen, and was very active in the Telephone Pioneers of America. Mrs. Kus enjoyed traveling, and spending quality time with her family.
A lifelong resident of Methuen she was the widow of Joseph P. Kus.
Survivors include her daughter Pamela Kus & Close Friend Diane Bradbury of Amesbury, and a son Edwin G. & wife Kathy L. Kus of Loudon, NH, 1 brother Frank Cielak of Las Vegas, Nevada, 5 grandchildren Jeffrey, Jackie, Katie, Kylee, Kaci, and greatgrandchild Eddie, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kus was predeceased by her son Joseph P. Kus, Jr.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday morning at 11 o’clock from the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen with burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen.
Friends may call on Thursday morning from 10 o’clock to 11 o’clock A.M. at the funeral home.
