Mary A. (Vena) Kreger, 92, of New Bedford died January 15, 2007 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Roland E. Kreger.
Born in Boston, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Maria M. (Maffri) Vena, she lived in Newton Centre most of her life before moving to New Bedford in 2001 to be near her family.
Mrs. Kreger was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Newton.
She enjoyed reading, cooking and traveling. One of her greatest joys was holidays and family get togethers.
Survivors include her daughter, Mary Andrade, and her husband Joseph, of New Bedford; 2 sons, William Kreger, and his wife Vincenza, of Randolph and Roland Kreger, Jr. of Newton; 3 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren.
She was the sister of the late Angie Ciccarelli, Fred, Bettina, Camillo and Rita Vena.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home For Funerals, 495 Park St. New Bedford Thursday, January 18th at 8 AM. Followed by her Funeral Mass in Holy Name of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, West Roxbury. Visiting hours Wednesday, January 17th from 5-8 PM.
