TEWKSBURY: Joanne E. (Patch) Quinn, age 56, a lifelong resident of Tewksbury, died Saturday, January 13, 2007 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the wife of John F. “Jack” Quinn, with whom she would have celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary on March 29th.
Born in Lowell on September 26, 1950, she was the daughter of Marion E. (Seamans) Patch of Andover and the late Harold Patch.
Mrs. Quinn attended Tewksbury schools and was graduated from Tewksbury Memorial High School with the class of 1968.
Prior to her illness, she was employed as the office manager for Dr. Gwendolyn Cugine, in Tewksbury. Mrs. Quinn previously worked as an office manager in the Tewksbury offices of Dr. John Aliberti, Dr. John Lu and Arrow Development Company.
According to family members, she enjoyed walking, traveling, visiting the beach, and socializing with her friends.
In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by one son, Tim M. Quinn and his wife Kerry of Tewksbury; two daughters, Jennifer A. Kostka and her husband Jim of Lowell and Lori E. Quinn of Methuen; two sisters, Shirley Kelleher of Alexandria, NH and Barbara Doherty and her husband William of Port Charlotte, FL; two brothers, Kenneth Patch and his wife Donna of Surprise, AZ and Gary Patch and his wife Marjorie of Billerica; three grandchildren, Colin T. and Ryan S. Quinn and Tyler J. Kostka; also many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours Tuesday, January 16th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral services Wednesday, January 17th, at 12 p.m., at the Merrimack Valley Seventh-day Adventist Church, 408 Broadway Rd., Rte. 113, Dracut.
