Donald R. Thulin Jr., 43 of Walpole died January 12 at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston after sustaining head injuries in a fall at work.
Born in Pequannock, New Jersey, September 5, 1963, the son of Donald R. and Loretta (Gasparino) Thulin Sr., Mr. Thulin was raised in the Lake Erskine section of Ringwood, New Jersey, where he was a lifeguard and a member of the aquatic club. He had lived in Walpole since 1991.
He was a graduate of Neumann Prep School, where he was on the track team. He also attended Pace University, where was on the football team and the Pratt Institute.
Mr. Thulin had been the owner of the D.R. Thulin Roofing and Sheet Metal Company for the past 12 years.
He had previously worked for the S. Gasparino Co., Johnson and Thulin Roofing of Cape Cod and the Sprague Roofing company.
Mr. Thulin had been a member of the North Walpole Fish and Game Club.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife Cynthia (Crown) Thulin, his son Steven Thulin and his daughter Jeannette Thulin, all of Walpole.
He is also survived by his sister Jeannine Guarillio of Howell, New Jersey.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 18 in St. Catherine’s Church in Ringwood. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home 892 Main Street in Walpole, MA.
