Raymond J. O’Handley, Jr., 69, died at home in Stoughton on Friday, January 12 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Barbara A. (Camara) O’Handley. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury and graduated from Boston schools and Electrician school. He was a resident of Stoughton for the last 3 years after living in Middleboro for 20 years. Mr. O’Handley was an Electrician with the Local 103 in Boston for many years before retiring 10 years ago. In his free time he enjoyed traveling and bowling.
In addition to his wife, Mr. O’Handley is survived by his children, Raymond J. O’Handley, III, Daniel M. O’Handley, Steven P. O’Handley and Thomas O’Handley all of Rockland, Roderick K. O’Handley of CA, Donna M. Connors of Everett, John P. O’Handley of Brockton, Karen A. Wasielewski of Plympton and Patricia R. Payne of Carver. He was the brother of Janice Mercogliano of FL, Debra Holmes of GA and the late Robert O’Handley and the former husband of Elizabeth O’Handley of Rockland. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren.
Funeral Prayers will be offered from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, January 16 at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Donations in Raymond‘s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Beacon Hospice, 45 N. Main St., Fall River, MA 02720. Burial will be private.
