Frederick A. Sandstrom Jr. 66 years, of Brockton, died Friday at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Frederick A. and Deborah (Shea) Sandstrom. He was raised and educated in the Boston area and entered the US Navy following high school. He was a photographer aboard the USS Boston and had been employed as a professional photographer for many years throughout the state. He also enjoyed both photography and art.
He is survived by one brother B. John Sandstrom of Ocala, FL, one sister Teresa Sponzo of Connecticut, six nieces Janet Sponzo, Deborah Griggs, Rose Dauphinais and Joanna Sponzo all of Windsor, Ct, and Deborah Fleming and Alysa Nolan both of Florida.
A Graveside Service was held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, on Tuesday.
