SPENCER___Hedwig E. (Karbowski) Kopcinski, 90, of Spencer, died Wednesday January 10 in St. Vincent Hospital at Worcester Medical Center. Her husband, Matthew J. Kopcinski died in 1989.
She leaves a son, Robert Kopcinski and his wife Elaine of Sutton; three daughters, Charlotte Milewski and her husband Robert of Westborough; Linda Bonin of Millbury and Alicia Danek and her husband Richard of Spencer; three sisters, Charlotte Shilalie of Manchester, N.H., Theresa Witkowski of Auburn and Joanne Morrissey of Worcester; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by a sister, Jane Ciborowski of Leicester. She was born in Worcester, a daughter of John and Julia (Karczmarczyk) Karbowski and lived in Worcester most of her life before coming to Spencer.
Mrs. Kopcinski once worked several years in the cafeteria at St. Mary’s School. She was a graduate of Worcester Girls Trade High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, Worcester and its Womens Guild.
The funeral will be held on Saturday January 13 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
