Visitation in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday 8:30-9:30am. Funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 10am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

Florence M. (McGowan) Nicholson, 88 years died Monday morning at the JML Care Center in Falmouth. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie (Stack) McGowan. She was a graduate of Brockton High School and had been employed as a Nursing Assistant in Brockton. She had been a resident of the Cape since 1966. She enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, cooking and baking apple pies. She had been a communicant of St. Colman Church in Brockton and Otis Air Force Base Catholic Chapel and St. Anthony’s Church while a resident of the Cape.
She is survived by one daughter Ann L. Hadway of Falmouth, 3 granddaughters Kimberly A. Hadway of W. Yarmouth, Kristen L. Waugaman of E. Falmouth and Kourtney N. Cunningham of Falmouth. 9 great grandchildren Dean M. Hadway, Ashley N., Chelsea K, and John Dias, IV, Lauren E., Mark III and Taylor L. Waugaman, and Devin J. and Nichole I. Cunningham, 2 great great grandchildren Lilly M. Hadway and Alyssa N. Lewandowski, one sister Mildred Baust of Easton, and a son in law Leman W. Hadway of Falmouth.
She was the wife of the late Roger N. Nicholson, sister of the late Charles, Frederick, William, Robert and John McGowan and Esther Tashjian and Ann Wright.
