Robert L. Ellis age 60 of Salem, NH, died Monday at the Kindred Hospital, Peabody, MA.
He was born in Somerville, MA, grew up and was educated in Medford, MA, and graduated from Medford High School. He then later attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA, and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Merrimack College in No. Andover, MA. He was a resident of Salem, NH for the past 35 years, formerly of Medford.
Mr. Ellis was a Manufacturing Engineer for AGFA in Wilmington, MA. He was a very active member in the Town of Salem, where he was previously on the Budget Committee, was a former Selectman, and was on the Planning Board. He later was a regular attendee at all the town meetings. Mr. Ellis was also a US Navy Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War.
His greatest love was his family, especially his grandson Jack.
He was predeceased by his parents Leo J. & Dorothy (Frechette) Ellis. He was also predeceased by a brother Alexander Ellis.
He is survived by his wife: Alicia (Federchook) Ellis of Salem

A Celebration of Life will be held Sat. Jan 20th at the Salem Town Hall in the Knightly room. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.
