Kathie Maria Marchi, 31, of Chester, NH, beloved daughter of Henry A. and Mary Ann (DePascale) Marchi, lost her valiant battle against cancer on October 11, 2002. Formerly of Hudson, NH, Kathie was graduated from Alvirne High School in 1988. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State College where she was a member of the tennis team. Kathie received her Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis in Memphis, TN, where she resided for several years. Her love of travel also brought her to Huntington Beach, CA, New Orleans, LA, and most recently to Lake Park, FL, where she was employed as a Field Probation Officer with the Dept. of Corrections in Palm Beach County. Besides travel and fitness, Kathie loved music and played piano and guitar.
Besides her parents of Chester, she is survived by her loving sisters and brothers-in-law, Lisa A. Marchi and John Morse of Somersworth, NH, Sarah L. Black and Richard A. Black of Fremont, NH, her precious nephew and godson, Gabriel Foster Black also of Fremont , as well as by loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Kathie was an inspiration to all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 14th at 10:00 in St. Jerome’s Mission Church, corner of RT 102 and Chester St., Chester with cremation following. Friends may call at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry, NH on Sunday, October 13th from 4 – 8. Private graveside services will be held at the Great Hill Cemetery in Chester.
