THOMPSON – Leah A. (Lacasse) Oleksiak, 79, of 181 Line House Road, North Grosvenordale, died Saturday, January 6, at home after an illness. Her husband of 39 years, Joseph Oleksiak, died in 1986.
She leaves a son, Chester J. Oleksiak and his wife Ruth of North Grosvenordale; 2 daughters, Linda A. Foshay of Thompson Falls, Montana and Autumn K. Oleksiak of Ashfield, MA; a brother, Donald Lacasse and his wife Elaine of Southbridge, MA; 4 grandchildren, Thaddeus Foshay and his wife Alexandra, Vanessa Noyes and her husband Michael, Jennifer Oleksiak and her fiancé Ernie Quatrocelli, and Joseph Oleksiak; 2 great granddaughters, Sidney and Amanda; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Southbridge, MA, the daughter of Solomon and Loretta (Lavallee) Lacasse.
Mrs. Oleksiak was the secretary and bookkeeper at the family business, Olektron Corporation in Webster. She was a member of Saint Stephen’s Church in Quinebaug.
The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, Jan. 11, in Saint Stephen’s Church, corner of Routes 131 and 197, Quinebaug. (Please meet at the church.) Burial will be in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. There are no public calling hours. Flowers may be sent or donations made to Ronald McDonald House, One Krok Drive, Oak Brook, IL 60523.
