ANDOVER, MA – Kenneth L. Dauber age 74 died Thursday January 4, 2007 at Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, MA.
He was born and educated in Trout Run, Pennsylvania, before moving to massachusetts, making his home in Andover, MA. During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Navy, where he received the China Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, and received and honorable discharge. He worked as a maintence mechanic at Malden Mills in Lawrence before his retirement and after retiring he was a driver for the Andover Senior Center and Edgewood Retirement Center of North Andover, MA.
He belonged to the Korean War Veterans of Lycoming County, PA. Loved playing golf, the card game 45’s and was an avid sports fan especially of the Penn State Nittany Lions.
The widower of Barbara (Renninger) Dauber he is survived by his son David W. Dauber and his wife Debbie of Marlboro, MA , 2 daughters, Pamela S. Runge and her husband Kenneth of Lawrence, MA and Jennifer L. Dauber and her finace Mark C. Barron of Windham, NH.
1 brother Robert Dauber of Williamsport, PA.
1 sister Charlotte Holtzapple of Lewisburg, PA.
4 grandchildren Amy Ford, Matthew Dauber, Ashley Dauber and Ryan Runge.
2 great-grandhcildren Emma and Cole Ford.
Several nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Niel, Richard, Doyle, Jackie and Charles Dauber, Bette Forma, Ruth Aderhold and Nora Belle Zimmer.
ARRANGEMENTS: Memorials can be made to Holy Family Cancer Management Center 70 East Street Methuen, MA 01844. Family and friends may call on Monday from 2:00p.m. - 4:00p.m. and 7:00p.m – 9:00p.m. at the Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 9:00a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Spring Grove Cemetery in Andover, MA.
