LYNN__ Eugene R. Andrews, 57, of Lynn, formerly of Boston and Worcester, died Tuesday, January 2, after a short illness in Essex Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Beverly, MA. He was born in Worcester the son of Eugene J. and Violet R. (Brulinski) Andrews.
He is survived by his loving aunt, Helen Abramowicz of Worcester; many cousins including Nancy Clark of Tyngsboro, Stephen Czarneski of Salem, George Perduta of Kensington, Ct., close friends Harriet Fremont-Smith, and Attorney Emery Rice. He will also be missed by many caring and supportive friends from Fidelity Investments and Eaton-Vance Managed Investments of Boston.
Eugene was a Senior Executive Assistant at Fidelity Investments, Boston for several years. He graduated from St. Mary’s Central Catholic High School and received a Certificate in Business Administration from Harvard University. He was a member of several choral groups performing in local theatres. He also worked for H& R Block for many years and volunteered as a tax preparer for the elderly in the Swamscott and Lynn areas. He had many interests, but he most enjoyed reading, cooking and dining out. He was a member of Trinity Church in Boston.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, January 6, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours in the funeral home are Saturday, from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
