Obituary

Robert T. Armstrong Jr., of Needham a retired civil engineer, died Tues Jan 2, 2007 at the Stanley Tippett Hospice House in Needham. He was 75.
Born in Milford he grew up in Dedham and graduated from Dedham High School. He received his degree in civil engineering from Tufts University in 1953. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. Bob worked for 36 years for Pilling Engineering in Dedham. He was a Registered Professional Engineer and a Registered Land Surveyor. He was a longtime active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Needham and was a member of the Lighthouse Preservation Society.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by his wife of 49 years Virginia (Ewell) Armstrong, his daughter Kim Jackson and her husband Steven of Bridgewater Corner VT, his granddaughter Kelly Jackson, his sister Linda Sirois and her husband Rodney of Bow NH, and 2 nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Sat Jan 6, 2007 at 11 AM in Christ Episcopal Church 1132 Highland Ave Needham. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be in the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave. Needham on Friday from 4-7 PM.
