TEWKSBURY - Francis A. “Franny” Keenan, 71, died Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the V.A. Hospitalin Manchester N.H. after a lengthy illness. He was the husband of Sarah F. “Sally” Keenan, whodied in 1996.
He was born in Winthrop, Aug 7, 1931, a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Paskall) Keenan. He was raised in Revere, but had lived in Tewksbury since 1966.
During the Korean War, he served in the Army.
He was retired from the Carpenter Union, Local 26, in Wilmington.
Mr. Keenan was also a communicant of St. William’s Church.
He is survived by two sons; Frederick T. Keenan of Tewksbury and Michael H. Keenan ofLowell, four step-children; Joseph Viera Donald Viera and Lila Paolucci all of Lowell, andFrancis Viera of Manchester, NH, one brother; Frederick Keenan of Malden, 13 grandchildrenand 3 great grandchildren.
His Funeral Mass was held Saturday, Oct. 12 in St. William’s Church. Interment in Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn.
