SHREWSBURY-Helen L. (Mohan) Noone, 80, of 18 Tory Drive and West Yarmouth died Sunday, December 2nd in UMass-Memorial Healthcare-University Campus. Her husband of 48 years John J. Noone died in 1996. She leaves a son Bernard F. Wiechniak of Worcester, 2 daughters Patricia Wiechniak with whom she lived and Kathleen A. Gleason of Palm Harbor, FL, a step-son John A. Noone of Sterling, 2 sisters Anne M. Borezo of Worcester and Kathleen V. Reilley of Shrewsbury, 6 grandchildren and many nephew and nieces. 5 brothers and a sister pre-deceased her they were; Patrick J. Mohan, Jr., Neil J., Peter J., William J. and Bernard F. Mohan, and Margaret M. Morrissey.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Patrick J. and Margaret (Wood) Mohan. She was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School. Mrs. Noone Had been a member of St. Mary’s Parish in Shrewsbury. She had been a licensed practical nurse and had worked as charge nurse for the former People’s Nursing Home for over 20 years, she retired in 1985. She enjoyed Cape Cod.
The funeral will be Thursday, December 6th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 640 Main Street, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be Wednesday, December 5th from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
