Holden

Albert L. Nourse, 75, of 74 Brattle St. died Friday, November 30, in the UMASS-Memorial Medical, Center Memorial Campus, Worcester, After an illness.

He leaves a son, Michael P. Nourse of Oxford; three daughters, Karen L. Polaski of Worcester, Joanne M. Carey of Auburn and Judith M. Jeneral of Charlton; a brother Robert A. Nourse of Worcester and a sister, Ruth E. Ela of Auburn; his former wife Marie B. "Bernie" (Danahy) Nourse of Worcester; a close companion Beverly A. Doten of Holden; six grandchildren, a great grandson and several nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, son of Albert L. and Corinne R. (Perron) Nourse.

He was a appliance repairman for Mass Electric Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1988. He was a Army veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater. He graduated from Commerce High School. He was a Life member of the Alhambra Council Knights of Columbus # 88 and a former member of the Main South American Post # 341.

A Funeral will be held Tuesday, December 4, from Fay Brothers Funeral Home 9 Hammond St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Peters Church 931 Main St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday , December 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Jimmy Fund 375 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02215.
