Obituary

Stephen M. Koprada, 91, of New Bedford died Monday December 25, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary S. (Caton) Koprada.

Born in New York City, the son of the late John and Helen (Litvin) Koprada, he lived in New Bedford since 1964.

He was a former member of St. Martin's Episcopal Church, where he served as vestry member and treasurer for several years.

Mr. Koprada was formerly employed by General Motors in New York until his retirement.

He was a member of the Quitticus Lodge, A.F. & A.M., and the Euclid Lodge, A.F. & A.M. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two sisters, Elaine Krtil of New York City and Ethel Rockwell of Florida; and nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday morning in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial followed in the Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne.
