Obituary

Francis M. “Frank” Traynor age 83 of Windham, NH, died Wednesday at the Lahey Clinic, Burlington, MA. He was born in Lawrence, MA, where he grew up and attended local schools. He was a long time Windham resident.

Mr. Traynor was a retired teacher for the Greater Lawrence Vocational School, where he founded and developed the plumbing program. He was a Master Plumber and a member of the Local Plumbers Union in Lawrence, MA, and opened the Plumbing program at the Voc. Tech. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving during World War II aboard the USS Howard F. Clark Ship. He was a member of St. Mathew Council Knights of Columbus, Windham, and a 4th degree member of the Bishop Peterson Assembly Knights of Columbus. Mr. Traynor was a very active parishioner of St. Matthew Church in Windham, where he was a lector for over 40 years. He was an Alter server, active in the Martha & Mary Group, and was the 1st Extraordinary Minister at the church. He was on the school board at St. Joseph Regional School in Salem, a member of the NRA, a member of the Pelham Rod & Gun Club, where he was a Senior NH Pistol Champ, a District Commissioner for the Daniel Webster Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He was past president of the Little Island Pond Association in Pelham, and a volunteer for the Immigrant Archives in the City of Lawrence, MA.

He was predeceased by a grandson Daniel Delisle, and predeceased by a brother and sister Donald C. Traynor and Marion Kelley.

He is survived by his Wife: June M. (Crowley) Traynor of Windham, NH

Daniel & his Wife Jacqueline Traynor of Atkinson, NH

3 Daughters: Mary & her Husband Paul Timson of Derry, NH
Ellen & her husband Maurice Delisle of Venice, FL
Judith & her Husband Scott Desrosiers of Hollis, NH

10 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren, and Many Nieces & Nephews

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Dec. 30 at 10 AM at St. Matthew Church, Windham, NH. Burial will follow in Cemetery on the Plain, Windham.

Calling hours will be held Friday, Dec. 29 from 3-7 PM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Matthew Council, 2 Searles Rd, Windham, NH 03087.
