SALEM - Evangeline D. (Elliott) Kastanopolous, 78, wife of the late John Kastanopolous, a resident of Salem and Peabody for most of her life, died Tuesday evening, December 26, 2006 at the Radius Health Care Danvers, following a long illness.
Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Augustus J. & Alice (LaBorde) Elliott and was a graduate of Salem High School. She was a resident of Salem until moving to Peabody in the early 1990's. Mrs. Kostanopolous was a member of the Peabody Council on Aging, Peabody and lifelong member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Salem
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Peter & Nancy Kastanopolous of Salem, Stephen & Robin Kastanopolous of Magnolia, 4 grandchildren, Carl Hoyt Jr. and Stacie Brown both of Seabrook, NH, Jason Kastanopolous and Samantha Kastanopolous, both of Gloucester, 4 great grandchildren, 1 sister, Lona J. Belanger of Salem, 1 brother, John Elliott of Lynn and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Peter L. Elliott and James W. Elliott.
Her funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 29, 2006 at 1:00 PM at the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Square East, by Salem Common, Salem. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 pm, prior to the service. Relative and friends respectfully invited. Burial is in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody.
