
WEBSTER - Lorraine T. (LaChance) Pizzetti, 79, of 5 Elaine St., died Saturday, Dec. 23, in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, after a brief illness. Her husband of 58 years, Albert A.”Chic” Pizzetti, died in 2004.
She leaves a son, Albert T. Pizzetti, with whom she lived; a daughter, Dianne E. Shackelford and her husband Allen of La Quinta, CA; a sister, Virginia C. Mangan of Webster; several nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Theodore A. and Frances D. (Christopher) LaChance, and lived in Webster all her life. She attended Bartlett High School.
Mrs. Pizzetti was the manager of the credit department at Sears, Roebuck & Company in Webster, Worcester and Auburn before she retired.
She was a communicant of Saint Louis Church and a member of the Saint Louis League of Catholic Women. She was a former member of the Nichols College Golf Course in Dudley and the Raceway Golf Course in Thompson. She was once the secretary of the Worcester County Women’s Golf Association. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and going to the casino with friends and family.
The funeral will be held Friday, Dec. 29, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, Dec. 28, in the funeral home. Flowers may be sent or donations in her memory made to St. Louis Church Elevator Fund, 15 Lake St., Webster, MA 01570.
