Vincent A. Amore, 51, of Adams Street in Smithfield, a mail handler for the United States Postal Service at Turnkey Office for 12 years, died Monday at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Patricia J. (Bauer) Amore.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Vincent & Rita (Campagnone) Amore. He had been a resident of Smithfield for 21 years and had previously lived in Cranston. He was a past steward for the Mail Handlers Union.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Emily Amore of Rochester, NY, Neil and Michelle Amore, both of Smithfield and a sister Janice Pontarelli of Johnston. He loved his family and friends and will be greatly missed.
His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00am from the *ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
