Obituary

Elia (Ferrante) Annese, 81 of Dedham, died December 25, 2006 at the Caritas Norwood Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Egnazio Annese.

Mrs. Annese was born in Italy and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Angelina (Desideri) Ferrante. She has been a long time Dedham resident. She was the recipient of a certificate awarded to her as a token of gratitude for and appreciation of the help given to the Sailors, Soldiers and Airmen of the British Commonwealth of Nations, which enabled them to escape from, or evade capture by the enemy. Given by H.R. Alexander, Field-Marshall, Supreme Allied Commander, Mediterranean Theatre.

Besides her husband she leaves her three sons, Sandro Annese and his wife Carol of Dedham, Ricardo Annese and his wife Joanna of Las Cruces, NM and Geraldo Annese and his wife Lynne of Attleboro. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was the sister of Paul Ferrante of Virginia

Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, on Friday at 10:00 AM followed by a funeral mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dedham, at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Dedham.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elia’s memory to Caritas Home Care, 3 Edgewater Drive, Norwood, MA 02062.
