Mary A. Miele, age 80, a life-long Woburn resident, died Friday in the Winchester Nursing Center after a period of declining health.
Ms. Miele was born in Laconia, NH, the daughter of the late Dominica (Lanciano) and Stephen Miele. Though she was never married, Mary was devoted to helping care for her many nieces and nephews. She also worked for over 35 years at the Mystic Valley Laundry, Medford.
Besides her love for family, Mary had a special interest in crochet, needle point and enjoyed playing Bingo.
She is survived by a brother Stephen A. Miele of Billerica, a sister Evie Chase of Andover, she was predeceased by two sisters: Antoinette Bell and Alice Smith and brother Augustine Miele.
Mary leaves many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit Monday from 4 thru 8 at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., Woburn.A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, Woburn. Services will conclude with burial in the Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
