Obituary

Sandra (Simons) Nazzaro, a native of Chelsea, died on December 22, 2006 in the Lawrence General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 61 years old.

Born in Chelsea, the daughter of the late Morris & Freda (Rosenthal) Simons, Sandra was raised and educated in Chelsea. She married Henry Nazzaro in 1973 and together they owned North Reading’s Best Service Station. Sandra’s true vocation, and the love for her in life, was raising her two sons, Marc & David. Sandra was the person everyone turned to when they needed moral, spiritual, and motherly guidance. Never one to put herself before others, Sandra was always the person everyone knew they could count on for help. She loved all beings, human and animal. Her caring & unconditional love, gentle support, and fierce loyalty will always be remembered by those that held her in such high esteem.

Sandra was very active in numerous civic organizations including Quota, Congregation Havurat Shalom, the Cub Scouts, teaching Hebrew School, P.T.A., and the Senior Center.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Henry Nazzaro; her sons, Marc Nazzaro & his wife Jenna, & David Nazzaro; her grandson, Derek; her step-grandson, Michael; her brothers, Ted Simons & Harvey Simons; her dog, “Caesar”, numerous cats, and a legion of friends.
